This week-long programme provides councillors from outside of the UK with opportunity to see how local government in the UK works at political and administrative level through a mix of classroom input, visits and discussions with politicians and their officials.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To provide an underlying commentary about the value of political systems and elected members in building credibility by delivering what is promised, and by providing full transparency and accountability to voters.
To equip participants with the confidence and motivation to return and contribute tangibly and positively to the development of local democracy and politics in thier home country
