We begin by detailed analysis to find out the exacting requirements of the client and then work with them to provide appropriate training solutions.
Some recent training interventions designed and delivered at organisational level are outlined below.
Department for International Development (DfID) / Crown Agents
The UK is highly regarded for its humanitarian and development work. DfID recruits the very best humanitarian aid consultants from around the globe and sends them to the far corners of the world on humanitarian relief missions. They then have the difficult tasks of assessing and advising London of the situation on the ground, providing reassurance to host countries, NGOs and the media that help is at hand and persuading officials, politicians and the public in the UK of the need for aid in times of austerity. We are proud to have been selected to provide induction training-in the process of government and parliament in the UK and how to provide advice to ministers and assist them in parliamentary and media handling issues- to these advisers.
Offices of Police and Crime Commissioners
The transition from supporting and working with elected Police Authorities of 12 members to supporting and working with one senior and high profile elected public figure was daunting for many. Decision making and accountability systems and procedures required significant change as did the structures of the organisation and staff needed to develop a new skill-set to match the requirements in a significant change in duties. We designed and delivered a suite of training products with offices of police and crime commissioners through England and Wales to assist in meeting the challenges.
As delivery partners for the HS2 high speed rail link between London and the West Midlands CH2M HILL’s work on this project is significantly affected by the current High Speed Rail (London- West Midlands) Bill and changes to it as this complex Hybrid Bill passes through Parliament. When CH2M HILL took the decision to train its project team in the Hybrid Bill process we worked with them to design and deliver effective training.
